Tracy McGrady came to Los Angeles averaging 22 points a game. He left with 5 points in two games. So what gives?

“It was an awful shooting night. I just couldn’t get in a rhythm, they were really making it tough on me. Every time I posted up, they had a couple of guys coming over,” McGrady said.

“Those were probably the worst two games of my career.”

With McGrady, you always have to ask about injuries.

“He was sick for the Clippers game and tonight I don’t think he was feeling all that good,” Rockets coach Rick Adelman said. “He’s trying to come back. I thought he favored his knee tonight. He’s got to keep working through it.”

Asked if he agreed with Adelman’s sentiment, McGrady nodded.

“Yeah, maybe a little,” he said. “I’m still not 100 percent, trying to recover from the surgery.”
