MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Kobe Bryant returned from a five-game absence because of a left ankle injury and scored 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting in the first half. He had a couple of rim-rattling dunks while playing 20 minutes. He added five rebounds and four assists. Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol each scored 11 points. Derek Fisher had four points, topping 9,000 for his career. O.J. Mayo (USC) scored 15 points to lead the Grizzlies, who trailed by as many as 14 points before drawing close late in the half.
