Trailing by as many as 13 points in the first half, the Lakers rallied today to defeat the Denver Nuggets for the first time in three games this season. The Nuggets swarmed Kobe Bryant, who did not have a good shooting game. He scored 14 points on 3-for-17 shooting, but added a team-leading 12 assists. Lamar Odom led the Lakers with 20 points and also grabbed 12 rebounds. Ron Artest scored 17 points and played lock-down defense against Carmelo Anthony, fouling him out with 2:13 remaining in the game. Anthony had 21 points. Pau Gasol scored 15 points and grabbed a team-leading 14 rebounds for the Lakers. The Lakers held the Nuggets to 35.9 percent shooting.
