Trade deadline update

| | Comments (1) |

It doesn't look like the Lakers will make a move before the NBA's trade deadline Thursday, apparently content with their roster at present. Lakers coach Phil Jackson acknowledged that he and GM Mitch Kupchak have spoken about possible deals, but nothing is going to happen. Are the Lakers doing the right thing by standing pat at the deadline?

Isn't this the same roster that won it last year? It's the same roster that is leading the western conference. This isn't fantasy league or making a move just to make a move - despite Cleveland's move. And? They should have done this in 2006.

Now there's rumors that of McGrady gets bought out in New York his wish is to sign with Cleveland or Los Angeles (per Y!). Cleveland would be out if they reacquire Z.

So, more fodder for us!
