BOSTON — The Lakers were too big, too strong and too determined when it mattered most while defeating the Boston Celtics for their third straight victory to start their seven-game trip. Kobe Bryant scored 23 points, including 20 in the second half. Pau Gasol scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Andrew Bynum added 16 points and nine rebounds and Lamar Odom had 10 points and a team-leading 12 rebounds. The Lakers outrebounded the Celtics, 47-36, and had more points in the paint, 50-32. Ray Allen had 20 for Boston.
