Half: Wolves 45, Lakers 40

MINNEAPOLIS — The Lakers missed their first six shots, committed three turnovers in the opening minutes and made a mess of the first half tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves. They shot 14-for-46 (30.4 percent) and had nine turnovers by halftime. They didn’t score until there was 7 minutes, 45 seconds remaining in the first quarter. Andrew Bynum scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds and Pau Gasol had four points and 11 rebounds. Kevin Love, a former UCLA standout, was trying to record his 47th consecutive double-double. He had eight points and six rebounds for Minnesota.
