Stress fracture sidelines Ebanks

Devin Ebanks, a rookie forward from West Virginia, was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his left tibia and will be sidelined for at least three weeks, the Lakers announced today. Ebanks averaged 3.1 points and 1.4 rebounds in 20 games. Said Ebanks before tonight’s game against the Charlotte Bobcats: “I was playing through it, but i got bad yesterday. I couldn’t run and jump like I wanted to. I was limping (while) running down the court. It wasn’t noticeable, not when I played, but I could feel it and then yesterday in practice it got worse.” Ebanks vowed to return in 2 1/2 weeks, beating the team’s estimate.
