Fisher, Barnes updates

| | Comments (0) |

Derek Fisher suffered an injured left elbow when he got tangled up with Kwame Brown of the Charlotte Bobcats late in the third quarter tonight. He did not return to play in the fourth quarter and his status was said to be day to day. Lakers coach Phil Jackson said he believed Fisher could play Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs. Fisher declined to speak with reporters after the game. Barnes suffered from nerve irritation that he believes was unrelated to his right knee surgery. He was set to play tonight, but decided against it after his right leg got hot and then fuzzy, as he described it. He's not sure if he can play Sunday.
