Jackson nears milestone victory

MIAMI -- With a Lakers victory tonight over the Miami Heat, Phil Jackson will get his 600th win with the franchise. He won his 599th when the Lakers defeated the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday. Only four other coaches have won 600 games with one franchise. He would join Jerry Sloan (1,127 with the Utah Jazz), Red Auerbach (795 with the Boston Celtics), Gregg Popovich (787 with the San Antonio Spurs) and Red Holzman (613 with the New York Knicks). For what it's worth, Jackson played for Holzman.
