Kobe Bryant misses Tuesday’s practice, will play against Utah

EL SEGUNDO — Kobe Bryant sat out of practice for the second consecutive day to nurse his strained right foot, but don’t expect him to miss the Lakers’ game Wednesday at Utah.

“Hopefully I’ll be at 90% for tomorrow’s game and put this ankle behind me,” Bryant said.

The Lakers guard has described his strained and bruised right foot as an ankle contusion. The injury happened in the Lakers’ preseason game Oct. 21 against the Sacramento Kings where Bryant tripped over forward Thomas Robinson. Since then, Bryant has missed seven practices and two preseason games.

“I try to do what I can from the sidelines, but we haven’t been doing anything competitive,” Bryant said. “That’s where I’m really missed.”
