Lakers fans may be divided on what to make of their new head coach
Some feel disappointed the Lakers passed over Phil Jackson in what would mark his third stint with the team. Others believe Mike D’Antoni’s fast-paced offense mixed with Steve Nash would produce something far more beautiful than anything the triangle system could construct.
Showtime, anyone?
Regardless of where you stand, there’s at least one comforting thing. Kobe Bryant largely endorsed either move. And, by indicated by his Facebook page, Bryant’s focusing more on D’Antoni’s hire than lamenting the chance to play with Jackson again.
“It’s been a wild week to say the least,” Bryant wrote on his Facebook page. “I’m happy to have closure and can’t wait to get to work with Coach D’Antoni.. spacing, ball movement. And despite the chatter, I believe we will be phenomenal defensively. I’m looking forward to getting started with him and his staff this week.”
