For me, Jerry Buss was my mentor. To me, he was not Dr. Buss. He was professor Buss.

Phil Jackson recalled Kobe Bryant trade demands in 2007 & how Dr. Buss responded well with patience. Jackson also recalled how he promised Buss on his first visit that he’d deliver him another championship. Jackson wound up bringing five.
