Antawn Jamison’s x-rays turn out negative on sprained right wrist

The Lakers never know how to stay healthy.

On the same night Pau Gasol returned from a 20-game absence because of torn plantar fascia in his right foot, the Lakers’ 103-100 loss Friday to the Washington Wizards featured reserve forward Antawn Jamsion spraining his right wrist.

His x-rays turned out negative and he plans to receive an MRI tomorrow.

Jamison didn’t speak to reporters, other than confirming to two of them that the injury stemmed from his blocked dunk attempt from Kevin Saraphin with 1:09 left in the third quarter. Jamison, who scored 11 points on 5 of 9 shooting, then sat out the entire fourth quarter. He wore a wrist brace afterwards, but Jamison still carried his bag with it afterwards.
