The Dodgers put together a cool video featuring various L.A.-based athletes and celebrities highlighting Opening Day. So of course Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar would be part of that compilation. The theme involves all the various athletes and celebrities tossing a baseball that travels all the way from one person to the next around Los Angeles.

Bryant filmed his spot last month at the Lakers’ practice facility in El Segundo, and it was cool seeing how little time it took for him execute the theme seamlessly. Of course, the shoot involved multiple takes for editing purposes, but Bryant understood the directions in one take. The ball hit the court after Bryant threw it in the air. Bryant then caught and spun an imaginary ball that the Dodgers electronically inserted afterwards.
