Steve Nash considered game-time decision against Dallas

After missing Monday’s practice because of a strained right hamstring, Steve Nash is considered doubtful when the Lakers play Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks at Staples Center.

“He’s not going to be completely out of the woods,” Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni said. “But we’ll be cautious with him.”

Nash played less than two minutes of the Lakers’ 103-98 win Saturday over the Sacramento Kings after making an awkward fall. Beforehand, Nash had nursed a right hip spasm, injury that bothered him over the past week and kept him out of most of the second half of the Lakers’ loss Thursday to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Should Nash sit out against Dallas, Steve Blake will start at point guard. He posted 5 points on 5-of-8 shooting from 3-point range against Sacramento.
