Steve Nash remains game-time decision Sunday against San Antonio

The Lakers have concerns beyond Kobe Bryant’s torn left Achilles tendon that will sideline him for the six to nine months.

They also wonder when Steve Nash will return after missing the past six contests because of persisting soreness in his right hamstring. Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni said he remains a “game-time decision” when the Lakers play Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs at Staples Center.

“He’s struggling a little bit,” said D’Antoni. “We’ll see tomorrow. As soon as he can he will [play], but we’re not going to push him.”

Lakers guard Jodie Meeks will start in Bryant’s absence. If Nash can’t play, Steve Blake will start for the seventh consecutive game.

“Whenever he feels like he can do it,” D’Antoni said, “he will.”
