The Lakers are just about to start a playoff run, hoping their underachieving season doesn’t amount to an early first-round exit beginning Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs.
The Lakers also are months away from what will become a busy offseason. In no particular order: Will Dwight Howard re-sign; Will Pau Gasol, Metta World Peace and Steve Blake avoid getting cut through the amnesty provision? Will the Lakers still spend lavishly despite punitive luxury tax measures going into affect?
But there’s at least clarity on the Lakers’ 2013 preseason schedule, which the team released Friday afternoon:
Oct. 5 Golden State Warriors Ontario, CA Citizens Business Bank Arena 7:00 pm
Oct. 6 Denver Nuggets Los Angeles, CA STAPLES Center 6:30pm
Oct. 8 Denver Nuggets Ontario, CA Citizens Business Bank Arena 7:00 pm
Oct. 10 Sacramento Kings Las Vegas, NV MGM Grand Garden Arena 7:00 pm
Oct. 15 Golden State Warriors Beijing, China MasterCard Center TBD
Oct. 18 Golden State Warriors Shanghai, China Mercedes-Benz Arena TBD

Oct. 25 Utah Jazz
