Rockets promote goofy videos to pursue Dwight Howard

NBA teams want Dwight Howard that they’re willing to almost do anything.

The Lakers hung up billboards, while general manager Mitch Kupchak met with him two times before the team’s formal meeting. Golden State is in the process of clearing up cap space. Houston and Dallas did too.

But the Rockets performed other various gestures to convince they’re the fit for Howard. They hosted a fancy dinner. They gave him an iPad (as did the Lakers). The franchise’s famed players talked with him in person (Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler) and through SKype (Yao Ming).

That’s not all.

Houston general manager Daryl Morey tweeted out a video Friday featuring her daughter and friends pleading Howard to head south.

Morey wasn’t finished.

He then tweeted out a video featuring Emmy winner Jim Parson of “The Big Bang Theory” on why Howard should become a Rocket.

Of course, those close to Howard say he’s solely concerned about which team will help him best win an NBA championship. Clearly, some teams think otherwise.
