Kobe Bryant’s always eager to squeeze in as much as he can out of himself.
He’s always added various parts to his game. Bryant wakes up at ungodly hours to maximize his workout routine. Bryant’s even fit in rehab work on his surgically repaired left Achilles tendon during vacation to Italy and Nike-sponsored trips to China and the Philippines.
So it should hardly be surprising that the Lakers star plans to make a trip to Abu Dhabi and Dubai shortly before training camp begins. With Lakers training camp scheduled for around Sept. 28, Bryant will be overseas two days beforehand as part of his Health & Fitness Weekend aimed to address diabetic issues.
Bryant will first visit the capital of United Arab Emirates on Sept. 26 to hold a youth basketball clinic. The following day, Bryant will coach Team Black Mamba against Real Madrid Basketball Legends in Dubai, while former Spanish basketball player Juan Antonio Corbalán will coach the Real Madrid team. Rapper Soulja Boy will play on Bryant’s team. Afterwards, Bryant then plans to judge a slam dunk contest. The Lakers star will then jet back to Los Angeles in what will mark a long flight.
Bryant’s race to head back to training camp isn’t the only thing that keeps him tracking time. It’s currently unclear if Bryant can suit up for the season opener Oct. 29 against the Clippers.
