Nick Young crashes toboggan during Great Wall visit

Nothing epitomizes Nick Young more than his smile, his care-free demeanor and his enthusiasm for everything.

So when Lakers guard Jordan Farmar posted videos on Instagram account showing Young crashing his toboggan during a visit Sunday to the Great Wall of China, the incident seemed more funny than nail-biting.

“WE GOIN’ DOWN A SLIIIIIIDE,” Young said on the video. “WE GOIN’ DOWN A SLIIIIDE. THE SLIIIIIDE. THE GREAT WALL OF …”

Young then trailed off, uttering a few expletive before crashing his sled. But no worries, Young got right back up and continued his ride.

Regardless, Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni may feel on pins and needles this whole trip. Lakers center Chris Kaman also injured one of his fingers after teammate Shawn Williams failed to hit his brakes in time to avoid crashing into him. The Lakers are also trying to ensure Kobe Bryant heals his left Achilles tendon, while Steve Nash and Pau Gasol hope to avoid the respective leg/hamstring/back and knee ailments that sidelined them last year.

At least for now, it appears the Lakers are having fun. Nothing reveals that more than Young enjoying every second tobogganing, regardless of whether he stays on the ride or not.
