With 13 days away from the regular season, the Lakers made another round of roster cuts Wednesday by waiving Darious Johnson-Odom.

The Lakers selected Johnson-Odom with the 55th overall pick in the 2012 draft and liked him enough to invite him for the past two training camps because of his athleticism, averaging 3.7 points and 1.3 assists in 8.2 minutes a game through three preseason appearances.

The Lakers have 16 players under contract, including 11 players with guaranteed deals. They can field a league maximum 15-man roster by opening night or a league minimum at 13. Both Shawne Wiliams and Elias Harris have partial guarantees in their contracts, while Ryan Kelly, Marcus Landry and Xavier Henry are completely non-guaranteed.

Henry has become the team’s most pleasant surprise in training camp, averaging 13.6 points a game, shooting 55.6% from three-point range and driving to the basket consistently. Though Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni has lauded his shooting, Marcus Landry has encountered a shooting slump by making only 25.9 percent of his shots from the field and 22.7 percent from three-point range. Kelly made his preseason debut in the Lakers’ 100-95 loss Tuesday to the Golden State Warriors in Beijing after sitting out all of summer league and most of training camp because of a surgically repaired right foot.
