The Lakers have nestled back into their homes. But they’re still feeling the ill affects of a week-long trip to China that spanned a two 12-hour flights and a 15-hour time difference.
That seemed to affect Chris Kaman and Steve Nash the most. Kaman sat out of Sunday’s practice entirely because of a stomach virus. Although Nash played for most of Sunday’s session, he sat out the end because of a stomach bug.
“We called practice off a little early. During film session, a couple of them nodded off,” D’Antoni said. He then joked, “Of course that could be normal. They’re a little tired.”
But neither incidents are considered serious.
“A little jet lagged,” said Nash, who described his sore left ankle as “okay.” “It’s neither here nor there right now. But it’ll take a few days.”
