Jordan Hill expected to play vs. Dallas despite bone bruise

Despite an MRI showing that he has a bone bruise in his right knee, Lakers forward Jordan Hill is expected to play Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center.

Hill missed Monday’s practice because after he was originally thought to have a sore right knee. Because the Lakers left for Dallas before Hill had an MRI in Los Angeles, he will travel there via a commercial flight.

Hill has experienced inconsistency with his playing time through four games because of Mike D’Antoni’s preference for playing a power forward that spaces the floor and provides mid-range shooting. But Hill has still remained effective, averaging 6.3 points on 73.3 percent shooting and six rebounds in 14 minutes per game.
