Lakers uncertain if Steve Nash will travel on upcoming trip

The Lakers have point guard issues, and they go beyond how much Kobe Bryant can handle that responsibility eight months after shattering his left Achilles tendon.

The Lakers also have no clarity on when Steve Nash will heal the nerve issues in his back enough to play. They also don’t know if he’ll travel with the Lakers on their four-game trip with stops in Oklahoma City (Friday), Charlotte (Saturday), Atlanta (Monday) and Memphis (Tuesday).

“He’s still trying to get there,” Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni said. “He’s doing everything possible and works out 85 times a day and will try to get back as soon as he can. I don’t know. He’s still in the process of seeing how he feels.”
