Nick Young conducts an interview pretending to be Kobe Bryant

The mere possibility that Kobe Bryant might speak to the media for the first time in a week prompted about 30-40 reporters to crowd around his locker, positioning their body, cameras and tape recorders so they’d be fully ready to ask and hear answers to various questions.

How did Bryant feel with his fractured right knee after taking part in the Lakers’ morning shootaround on Friday taking set shots? What’s his take on the Lakers’ struggles? Can Bryant come back early?

There was only one problem.

Bryant wasn’t at his locker and he wasn’t planning to come near it. Not with reporters standing there. So, at the prompting of a team official, Nick Young sat by Bryant’s locker stall and pretended to act like his idol. The result: an interview that entails Swaggy P talking about Bryant’s greatness and touting the potential that Young has. (H/T to Time Warner Cable SportsNet)
