Pau Gasol admits uncertainty whether he wants to return to the Lakers

As it’s always been for the past three years, Pau Gasol concedes the possibility he will never wear a Lakers uniform again.

But this time, Gasol’s departure from the Lakers might be his choice. He will be become an unrestricted free agent in July and admitted that he’s keeping all of his options open.

“I look at this is an opportunity for the first and only time I’ll be a free agent where I can choose,” Gasol said. “It’s exciting I ever experienced before in the NBA so it should be fun.”

Among the highlights:

-Gasol’s main priority entails joining a championship contending team. He still believes the Lakers could return there with Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash becoming healthier and adding pieces to supplement that core.

-Gasol conceded Mike D’Antoni staying with the Lakers would be a factor in his decision. But not a major one. The two obviously had philosophical differences pertaining to his role.

-Gaosl cited Kobe Bryant’s influence as the main factor why he would consider returning.

-Gasol expects to fully recover from vertigo within the next week or two.
