The Lakers assembled a pretty talented summer league roster with players that go beyond fringe players.

The players invited to play in the Las Vegas Summer League from July 11-21 include their own draft picks in Kentucky forward Julius Randle and Missouri guard Jordan Clarkson. There will be decent NBA role players in guard Rodrigue Beaubois (who played four seasons with the Dallas Mavericks), center Jerome Jordan (formerly with the New York Knicks) and shooting guard Kevin Murphy (currently with the Utah Jazz). The rest of the roster will include rookies LaQuinton Ross (Ohio State), DeAndre Kane (Iowa State), Trevor Mbakwe (Minnesota), Roscoe Smith (UNLV), Renaldo Woolridge (USC), Xavier Gibson (Florida State) and Anthony Ireland (Loyola Marymount) will round out the roster.

Player development coaches Larry Lewis and Mark Madsen will oversee the Lakers’ summer league team as associate head coaches.

The Lakers will first practice on Monday, followed by their first game on July 11 against the Toronto Raptors. They will also play on July 13 and 14, followed by at least two games scheduled for a later date.
