Other than their coaching search, their team’s pre-draft workouts, their draft selection in Julius Randle and subsequent days of free agency, things have been pretty quiet around the Lakers.

But the Lakers’ primary focus on Thursday involves their meeting with Knicks free agent forward Carmelo Anthony. Hence, why there’s a lot of radio requests to talk about it. What are Melo’s chances of joining with the Lakers? How will the Lakers make a pitch to them? Will Kobe Bryant’s relationship with Melo both convince him to come here and ensure a good fit? Where does Pau Gasol fit into all these plans?

I answered all of those questions in appearances with NBC Sports Radio and AM830 KLAA with Travis Rodgers.
