CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Lakers coach Byron Scott considers forward Nick Young a game-time decision for Tuesday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets (24-33) at Time Warner Cable Arena after missing the past three contests because of swelling in his left knee.

Young did not participate in the Lakers’ morning shootaround, but Scott still held out hope his knee could improve enough to play against the Hornets. Scott will keep the same starting lineup that he has featured for four consecutive games, including Jordan Clarkson (point guard), Wayne Ellington (shooting guard), Ryan Kelly (small forward), Carlos Boozer (power forward) and Robert Sacre (center).

Scott said he plans to feature this lineup for the rest of the Lakers’ three-game trip that also includes stops in Miami (Wednesday) and Memphis (Friday) before making possible changes for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks at Staples Center.

“It’s game to game,” Scott said. “I want to look at how these three games are going to go with how the starting unit is playing and how the bench is playing. Right now I’m happy with the way they’ve been playing, especially on the defensive end.”

The Lakers (16-41) had won a season-record three consecutive games before losing on Sunday to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
