DALLAS –It turns out Kobe Bryant’s back is not the only thing that has bothered him. Lakers coach Byron Scott said the 37-year-old Bryant missed morning shootaround because “his stomach wasn’t acting right” both Thursday evening and Friday morning.

But will that keep Bryant from returning when the Lakers (1-7) visit the Dallas Mavericks (4-4) on Friday at American Airlines Center?

“If he says he’s ready to go,” Scott said, “then absolutely he’ll play.”

Bryant has missed the past two games because of back soreness. Through six games this season, Bryant has averaged only 16.5 points per game on a career-low 32 percent from the field and a 20.8 percent clip from 3-point range.
