It turns out four days of rest did not prove enough for Kobe Bryant to ease the pain in his right shoulder.
The Lakers’ 37-year-old star will out when the Lakers (11-49) host the Brooklyn Nets (17-43) on Tuesday at Staples Center. But Bryant will travel with the Lakers and plans to play against the Denver Nuggets at Pepsi Center in what will mark his final game there.
The Lakers downplayed Bryant’s healthy that also kept him sidelined in last week’s loss to Memphis.
“It was still a little sore so we wanted to give him one more day,” Lakers coach Byron Scott said. “He didn’t complain about it.”
