LONG BEACH -- Looking for an excuse to eat out?
Why not get your grub on for charity Thursday night at the Claim Jumper Restaurant, where Long Beach Police officers will be waiting tables to raise funds for the Special Olympics.
The annual event, called "Tip-A-Cop," provides funds for Special Olympics athletes for travel, equipment and other event costs.
Long Beach Police have a tradition of protecting and serving, with the emphasis on serving, at the Long Beach Claim Jumper, which is located at 6501 E. Pacific Coast Highway.
And this year, as in previous years, all donations will go directly to the Long Beach Area Special Olympics.
