How the Northwest could shape up on Thursday

| | Comments (0)
With Washington leading 13-0, here's how it looks like it will shape up for Thursday's Northwest Regional semifinals at Al Houghton Stadium.

A Washington win gives it the No. 1 seed and means it will face a rematch with Montana, which gave Washington everything it could handle earlier in the tournament. Washington needed extra innings to beat Billings, 8-4. That game would be at 7:30 p.m.

With that scenario in place, that means Oregon and Wyoming would meet in the first semi at 4:30 p.m. And that could be very interesting, because Oregon needed 25 runs to beat Wyoming on Saturday, and we mean needed. Wyoming is 3-1 and has one of the most potent offenses in the tournament.
