Northern California kept its chances alive to reach the West Regional semifinals with an 8-5 victory on Tuesday afternoon against Arizona, which needs to beat Southern California on Wednesday and get some help to advance to the semis.

Northern California got six runs in the second inning and was helped by three Arizona errors. Jacob Dronkers got the pitching win with seven strikeouts.

Arizona is now 0-3 in the tournament and in danger of missing the semifinals for the first time since 1999.
