The victory moves Washington to 3-0 and sets up a showdown on Wednesday afternoon with Oregon, which is also unbeaten. Idaho falls to 0-4 in the tournament and is now finished.

Washington threw Derrick Mahlum, who started, Joakim Soderquist, Alec Kisena and Alex Jondal at Idaho's lineup. Washington's pitching staff combined for nine strikeouts and seven ground ball outs.

Since pool play began in 2001, Washington is 27-4 in pool play and 14-1 over the last four seasons. Washington has won 10 consecutive pool play games dating back to 2006.

Mill Creek Little League was 4-0 in the pool in 2002 but lost in the semfinals to Waipio, Hawaii.
