Catcher Alex Jondal hit a three-run homer over the left-center fence at Al Houghton Stadium to help stake Washington Mill Creek to a 4-0 lead over Oregon Murrayhill in the top of the first in the final game of the Northwest Regional Tournament.

Washington struck early when Joakim Soderquist hit a single that scored Dan Kingma, but Derrick Mahlum tried to stretch it into another run and was thrown out at the plate.

So at the end of a half inning, Washington leads 4-0.
