Stars sighted on football sidelines

On college and NFL sidelines, there are frequently big stars who are there to watch the game and be seen. Area high school football teams have their own version of that, although it's more to watch the game than to be seen.

This year, I've seen on area football sidelines:

San Diego Chargers rookie Eric Weddle on the Alta Loma sideline

Angels 2005 2nd round draft pick Ryan Mount (expecting to be a Quake this year) on the Ayala sideline

former high school gridiron stars Toby (now at Stanford) and Garth (now at Arizona State) Gerhart on the Norco sideline

Of course, they're all on the sidelines of their alma maters. It's more support for a program that helped make them than it is a chance to be in the public eye.
