Home sweet home for Ontario Christian

Thursday was supposed to be the home swan song for the Ontario Christian girls soccer team.

The Knights won in the CIF-SS Division VI quarterfinal, but since they had played more home playoff games, it was assured they would be on the road, and later they found out it would be at Lancaster Desert Christian. They even announced the names of the seniors because it was their last home game.

However .... Desert Christian was penalized for using an illegal ball and the game will be played at Ontario Christian at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

I wonder how often it's happened that a team played four consecutive home games in the playoffs. It's pretty rare to be sure.

First, the Knights won two coin flips, then they get an unexpected break. Maybe this is their year.
