Little has no faith in his bullpen
At least not the middle of the bullpen.
He lets Kuo bat with one out in the top of the fifth with a runner at second in a 1-0 game.
Why? Because he's got no faith in his middle relievers to get the job done, especially with Joe Beimel out with a hand injury.
Think about it. He let his left-handed pitcher hit against a left-handed pitcher.
Give credit to Kuo for at least moving the runner to third on a ground out.
But Glavine beared down after walking Rafael Furcal to get Kenny Lofton to ground out to second base to end the inning.
