Quick inning for Maddux
He needed that after throwing more than 50 pitches through the first three innings.
It doesn't mean anything if the Dodgers can't get something started against Trachsel. Nothing against the former Long Beach State standout, but this is a guy the Dodgers roughed up for five hits and for runs in two innings September 10th.
And now they're making him look like Sandy Koufax. Incidentally, Sandy is at Dodger Stadium tonight. I wonder who he's rooting for. Obviously he played for the Dodgers, but he's a lifelong friend of Mets owner Fred Wilpon, too.
