Dan Henderson talks Jon Jones

UFC legend Dan Henderson conducted a Q&A with fans at Staples Center before the UFC on Fox 4 weigh-ins Friday.

The former Pride welterweight and middleweight champion, who was born in Downey and lives in Temecula, was asked what he learned from watching others fight light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, whom Henderson will face at UFC 151 on Sept. 1 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

“Rashad (Evans) stood on the outside, didn’t implement his game plan. You can’t stand in front of someone like Jon Jones, and Rashad did that too much, and it took little too much of a toll on him,” Henderson said. “I would’ve liked to see him attempt some of the things he’s capable of doing and help me figure out Jon Jones a little better.”
