wondercon-iron-man-scarlett.jpgIn an easily predictable turnout, "Iron Man 2" starring Robert Downey Jr. earned an estimated $53 million in its second week and topped "Robin Hood" at theaters.

"Robin Hood" earned about $37.1 million in its opening weekend and placed second to the Marvel Entertainment film.  The take for the Universal Pictures release worldwide over three days is $111 million.  Those grosses are testament to the global popularity of filmmaker Ridley Scott and star Russell Crowe.

"Iron Man 2" has earned more than $200 million domestically at the box-office since last week and is approaching half a billion dollars worldwide.
