The anniversary variant cover for 'Batman' by Mike Mignola

Batman-mignola.jpgIn case you didn't notice, DC Comics is celebrating its 75th Anniversary with several major comic storylines and one surprising bonus for some fans.

Various "iconic" comic covers are being re-mixed and re-imagined by a number of popular creators.  The example on the right is from Hellboy creator-artist Mike Mignola bringing his distinctive touch to the variant cover for Batman #700. The concept is based on Detective Comics #168 with cover art by Lew Sayre Schwartz.
