Robert Kirkman, co-creator of "The Walking Dead" fame, visits G4's Attack Of The Show to share his thoughts on "zombie groupies" and the comic book industry.
Of particular note in the interview is when Kirkman talks about the reluctance of certain comics publishers (ahem!) to venture outside the super hero genre.
"I don't think we're ever going to be taken seriously as an industry in and of itself when people associate us with a specific genre," says Kirkman.
Kirkman, who co-writes "Thief of Thieves" from Image Comics, admits it's hard work to develop properties outside the cape and tights comfort zone but he isn't shy about calling out companies for being complacent when it comes to doing just that.
Kirkman is set to appear this weekend at the Image Expo Feb. 24-26 at the Oakland Convention Center.
