In the swim
There are all sorts of parents at the pool: those that drop their kids off and leave, those that stay but read a book or chat with each other, and those who watch their kids at their swim lessons the whole time.
I sway between the last two. Hubby watches every minute, mostly because he loves to take videos and photos, but also because Wonder Boy walked to the deep end of the pool once and his teacher didn't see him. It took Hubby shouting "Teacher! Teacher!" for her to see my little one needed help. So on the days Hubby goes with the boys, he leaves his cellphone and wallet in the camera bag just in case he has to jump in.
While I started hyperventilating thinking about "what could have been," another mom next to me shrugged her shoulders and said, "Well, that's how they learn!"
I really have to relax more.
