Evening with Wonder Boy
After-bath time is a great time to get into philosophical discussions with Wonder Boy. His take on his four-year-old world is unique:
Wonder Boy: Mama, do you know how much I love you?
Mama: No. How much?
Wonder Boy: To the moon and back from the moon sideways and in between infinity.
Mama: Wow. Do you feel how much I love you?
Wonder Boy: No.
Mama: You feel it in your heart. You're surrounded by love, you know.
Wonder Boy: (pondering) You mean this house is surrounded by love and we don't see it? I don't feel love in my heart. Only healthy things like fruits and yogurt that are good for you.

Tonight, he promised if I would make him a spoiled brat and buy him a
toy, he would give all his other toys to the poor children, who may not
have toys but at least they have mamas and papas. When I told them some children don't have mamas or papas, he was intrigued.
"They're called orphans," I told him.
Wonder Boy wrinkled his nose and asked, "But isn't orphans something in basketball? Like defense?"
Genius child, he meant OFFENSE and not orphans. His father beamed on hearing the story.
