Hey breastfeeding moms, there's another event in the works. Lindsey Nelson and Lisa Carey, the mothers behind the recent nurse-in at Applebee's, are organizing the San Fernando Valley breastfeeding challenge, part of an international breastfeeding competition. (word is still out on what the winners get!)
The breastfeeding event will be this Saturday, September 29, at 10:30 am at Anthony C Beilenson Park at Lake Balboa in Van Nuys. It is sponsored by the Quintessence Foundation, a non-profit group providing education to parents and professionals about breastfeeding.
