Splash pad debuts at Hofman park in Montclair
MONTCLAIR - Elsa Garcia's last-minute decision to swing by the Alma Hofman Park last week was worth it.
Garcia and her two children were just in time to cool off at the unveiling of the city's first zero-depth splash pad at the Montclair park.
"We thought it wasn't going to open until Labor Day," she said. "But then we saw everyone here and the girls got so excited. They don't even have their swimsuits but that didn't matter."
