MONTCLAIR - Senior citizens in this city will soon have a place to call their home away from home.
The city's first senior center is under construction and is expected to open in October. The $5 million, 11,000-square-foot facility is housed in the Civic Center between the Youth and Community Center and City Hall at 5111 Benito St.
"This is going to be a place where seniors can meet other seniors," said Julie Sage, 73, a city volunteer and Pomona resident.
