The Montclair Senior Citizens Club will host a free "Crimes Against Elders" workshop.
The workshop is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 13 in the Community Center Gym, located at 5111 Benito St., Montclair.
The presentation will be taught by Nancy Cooper, Deputy District Attorney for the Family Violence Unit of San Bernardino County, and will discuss Penal Code 368, also known as the elder abuse section of the penal code.
A Montclair Police Officer will be in attendance to answer any questions and refreshments will be served.

Hot Dog on a Stick in Montclair Plaza will host Free Hot Dog Day.
Started in 2006 as a celebration of Hot Dog on a Stick's 60th Anniversary, Free Hot Dog Day quickly become a well-received event and a customer appreciation promotion.
The company gives away approximately 50,000 free Hot Dogs on a Stick during the event each year.
Visit Hot Dog on a Stick at the Montclair Plaza from 5 to 8 p.m. June 15 at 5060 E. Montclair Plaza Lane, Montclair.
Limit one hot dog per person.
Montclair Chamber of Commerce will host a lunch business education seminar with San Bernardio County Supervisor Gary Ovitt.
The supervisor will give a snaphop of current issues from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 23 at John's Incredible Pizza, 5280 Arrow Highway, Montclair.

Local Senior citizens will be spotlighted at the 2009 Golden Follies.
More than 100 seniors from Chino, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland and Montclair will participate in the Senior Citizens Talent Showcase from 2 to 4 p.m. April 18 at the Montclair
Community Center, 5111 Benito St., Montclair.
Tickets are $3, limit two per person, and can be purchased at the senior citizens office.

To celebrate Black History Month Glenda Hooker will present a traveling art exhibit "Black History in Miniature."
Hooker creates hand sculptured miniature dolls and vignettes depicting history while preserving the an extensive collection of miniature art.
The exhibit includes dolls of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jackie Robinson, Rosa Parks, Sojourner Truth, Thurgood Marshall, Ray Charles, George Washington Carver, Nelson Mandela and much more.
The exhibit is from 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 7 at Brighter Day Ministries, 5080 Kinglsey St., Montclair.

Grab your loved ones and join Pomona Valley Workshop for their annual Valentine's Day dance and workshop.
The dance will be held in conjunction with their workshop "Options: Life After High School."
The events is from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 6 at 4650 Brooks St., Montclair.
The workshop will provide attendees with information about work training, employment, community integration and specialized services for autism.
Pomona Valley Workshop is a non-profit organization that assists adults with disabilities reach their potential and vocational and socialization skills in order that they may achieve their highest level of employment and community integration.
The event is free for students, recent graduates and their families and includes dinner.
For PVW consumers the fee is $5 for admission and $5 for dinner.
